SPENDING FREEZE

Now that school has started back for many students.

You spent lots of money on clothes, shoes, and back to school supplies.

Spending Freeze

I read an article about a spending freeze.

I thought now would be a time to get things back in order with a spending freeze.

Source MSN Money – 5 Reasons to try a 2-week spending freeze

"A spending freeze is basically a period of time during which you freeze your spending.

This is a great time to see where your priorities lie with your spending

"You’ll still have to use things that will eventually cost you money such as your electricity, water and vehicle."

I'm going to talk about the five ways that this article suggest that you do this.

First you must decide how much time you are going on this spending freeze.

So I wanted to issue a challenge of a two week spending freeze.

So starting on September 8, 2014 I'm going on a two week spending freeze.

Each day I'm going to blog about my progress.

Second you must plan your meals for these two weeks.

That means stocking up on things that you need to make these meals.

This does include your lunch.  So plan ahead.

You'll have to take your lunch when your friends want to go out to lunch.

But not to feel left out ask your friends to join you on this spending freeze challenge.

The article also suggest that you save some cash to buy fresh items half way through.

Third thing that you will need to do is make sure that you have personal items (toilet paper, tooth paste, deodorant, feminine products, and etc.) to make it through the two weeks.

The fourth thing to do is fill up your gas tank.

You will also need to pre-pay any bills that will be due during the two week spending freeze.

I don't want you to get late fees or cancellation notices during this spending freeze.

The last thing to do is on September 8, 2014 stop spending any money.

I hope that you join me on this two week spending freeze.

This challenge is not to punish you but to get you to move in a positive direction with finances.

I can't wait to hear how much you saved on your spending freeze.

Will you take the two week spending freeze challenge???
