Are You Really Ready???

I was having a conversation with my mother yesterday.

She had watched a leadership conference given by TD Jakes one of the topics was the woman in Proverbs 31.

The person was saying that the woman in the Proverbs was already doing the things that a wife does long before she got married.

So when she got married there were no adjustments to make as far as taking care of her family and home.

It got me to thinking how many times do we say we want something.  But are we really ready for what we were asking for job, husband/wife, car, or home.

Are You Really Ready???

We want a new job.

Are we ready to get to work on time???

Are we prepared with education and skill set???

We want a new car (Mercedes/Lexus) or SUV (Escalade/Range Rover).

Are we ready for the maintenance expenses or the amount of gas that it takes to keep the vehicle on the road???

We want to buy a house.

Are we ready to make the payments or the cost of repairs and upkeep???

We want good credit.

Are we willing to pay our bills on time???

Are we willing to keep our debt low???

We want a wife.

Are we willing to be a provider for our family???

That means making sure the household bills are taken care of.

We want a husband.

Are willing to take care of our home???

That means the cleaning and preparing of meals.

Being ready means that you are displaying the habits necessary to make these things possible for the long term.

These things have become a part of your life style.

Example 1 if you are never on time for work what makes you think that because you get a new job that you will be on time.

Example 2  if you are not use to preparing meals or cleaning the house what makes you think that you will do those things just because you get married.

Example 3 if you are use to spending every dime that you get how will you handle the air conditioning going out if you don't save any money.

Paying your bills on time even if they are not on your credit.

Living by a budget to make sure you have money pay all your bills.

Saving money in a life happens account for repairs on your home or vehicle.

You make sure that you live with in your means to take care of your home.

You keep more than your living room clean in your house.

Whatever your habits are when you get what you want will be how you handle the job, car, finances, or relationship.

Are you really ready for what you want???
