Grateful

Happy Thanksgiving !!!!

Grateful is the term I'm using at this time of the year.

There are many people who are struggling financially, mentally, spiritually, and physically.

This past weekend I saw this first hand.

My problems are nothing compared to others and I have a lot to be grateful for.

There is always someone who wishes they could have what you have.

Each year our church has a neighborhood feeding program from November-April.

I'm grateful that I have never been hungry.  There were people there who had no food.  Yet that could be me or you.

There were children who came to eat without their parents who were hungry.

I'm grateful that as a child we were poor but never hungry.

This is a time to be grateful for wherever you are in life.

You may not have all the things that you want.

God woke you up today that's worth being grateful.

You may have bad credit be bad be grateful that it doesn't have to stay that way.

You may not have money saved in the bank be grateful that you can start.

You may have debt to the ceiling be grateful that you have options to get your finances in order.

You may be single be grateful that you don't have to remain single.

You may have a broken heart be grateful that in time it will heal.

You may not have your natural family around be grateful for those who welcome you into their family.

There are so many things that we take for granted.

The ability to eat.

The ability to have choices to eat what you want.

The ability to see with or without glasses or contacts.

The ability to purchase optical devices.

The ability to walk.

The ability to use walking aids (walkers, wheel chairs, scooters)

The ability to talk.

The ability to hear.

The ability to use hear aids.

The ability to go to church.

These are all things to be GRATEFUL.

There are so many other things to be grateful to be able to have or ability to do.

Life is short be grateful that today you have another chance to get it right.

Are you grateful???

Renee Lawson
