Now that the fall season is here.

Winter is just around the corner.

Winterze your car to prevent break downs during bad weather.

Below are a few tips to winterize your car:

1. Winterize your car by checking your tire treads.

You can turn a penny upside down and place between your tread.

If the tread does not cover Lincoln's head you need you tires.

Check are round your area for sales on a set of four tires.

If you can't afford 4 tires at least replace your front tires.

2. Winterize your car  by checking your tire pressure.

Having properly inflated tires extends the wear of your tires.

It will also help your car to burn less fuel.

The tire guages on the air machines at your local gas station are not always accurate.

Purchasing a tire guage at your local auto part stores are inexpensive.

You can keep it in the car to check peridically.

3. Winterize your car by checking your windshield wipers.

With winter comes the rain, freezing rain, and snow.

You want to make sure your windshield wipers are in good shape to clear your windows for safe driving.

There is nothing worse than your wipers not working and you can't wash the salt off your windshield.

4. Winterize your car by checking your air filter.

Having a dirty air filter can let debris into your engine.

Causing your car to run rich and burn to much gas.

Air filters are easy to change.

5. Winterize your car by checking your battery connections.

You need to make sure your battery connections are corrosion free.

If your battery has water make sure there is enough.

Not all batteries have water in them.

Doing regular maintence on your car can save you a lot of money.

These simple winterize your car tips can be used any season of the year.
